I want to learn the inside scoop from Garrettsville residents, young and old. I am new to the area, purchasing a home in 2017 and becoming part of this wonderful community.
I have added a poll to the bottom of the site. This one is an experiment and more to come with Painesville related facts. If I can get reactions on the polls maybe we could have some fun and learn more about the City.

Great idea, but I can't participate on this one because I refuse to buy a News Herald until they clean up the biased reporting against our city.
JT, This one struck a nerve. If you read the News-Herald. Most of the time when they report a crime they say a "Painesville man...." then you read the persons address and you find out they live in the Township. We as a group of Painesville citizens must make the paper aware we want the residence of someone made clear. We should insist this be done.
TERM, I see this all the time as well. It kind of goes to the zip code thing. People in Concord don't want to be referred to as "Painesville" either, but it still happens. Not quite sure what to do as it seems that P'Ville TWP will always remain as Painesville also. Not sure what to do, truth in reporting is not always the most important thing to some so I agree with you here. Maybe a letter to the editor?? JT
No I am not blaming it all on zip codes. My words were "zip code thing". What I meant was that some that live outside the area refer to the whole area as Painesville, instead of distinguishing the different townships and so forth. Heck I lived in Fairport Harbor for a while and mail came to me addressed Painesville. If someone lives in Painesville TWP. is it WRONG to say Painesville, Nope. JT

Source was the Herald, question is related to the very first new carrier, nationwide. Thanks for playing along. JT

Sorry jt. I disagree if you live in Fairport you live in Fairport. If you live in the township it should be stated that way.
