Happy Thanksgiving

I would just like to offer a sincere Happy Thanksgiving to all. I had a friend step up today and prove to me that there is good in the world. I needed some help and this person offered their help. Without the help, I am sure that this Thanksgiving would not be as nice as it will be. To my good friend, Thank you and God bless your family.

Holiday Open House

Nice event and nice crowds. It was good to see so many people out enjoying the downtown area. Post your favorite stop along the way and boast about what you did last night.

Retirement announced

Chief Gary L. Smith announced that he will retire on March 12, 2010 from the Painesville Police Department. He has been a good Chief and a better friend over the years to many. He will be sorrily missed by this City and I only wish him well in his and his families future. Good luck Sir, you have earned the right to relax a bit. JT

Veterans Day

Take a moment to call and thank a Veteran that you know. If you do not know one specifically then seek one out and say thank you. You could make a care package for the troops and stop by a recruiting office and ask how to send it, they will help. Go to an American Legion or VFW post and they will also help. Take a minute out of your day to thank those that allowed you be live where you live and in the manner that you wish. Thanks.
