This weeks review is of Flavors on the square.  Nice little Mom and Pop type of place that has chnged hands a few times but always pleases.  Check out the review in my post.

Positive restaurant review

I will try and log on and give my take on a local joint that I went to during the week. I consider myself a decent judge of food and these comments are only my opinions. I will post the meal I ate and from where, but keep in mind I am a simple person. If you have a place you would like reviewed let me know and I will consider it. This week "China House" on Main St.

Storm Cellar Grand opening!

The grand opening for the Storm Cellar is set for 09-19-2008 from 4:30-7:00 pm. They are offering complimentary appetizers, prizes and games. Free parking in the parking garage! You can RSVP at 440-352-3087. Stop out and welcome them in.

City Website information

I am posting this as there are many I am sure that are unaware of the City's website. There is allot of very good information here and you should log on once in a while to get some of your answers to questions. It is very informative. www.painesville.com

Big thanks City workers!

I would like to give a big thanks out to the City of Painesville departments that had to work during the storm and after. I understand that there were many things that happened and the City seemed to fair pretty well. The clean up is still at hand and they appear to be taking care of business, GREAT JOB!

What did you do this summer?

I did many things this summer that were Paineville related and was wondering if you had any reflections to share?  Maybe you did one thing in the City that was fun or went to a shop for the first time?  Maybe you had a family picnic at the park, my son and daughter like to go to the river down in recreation park and look for salamanders, cray-fish and skipping rocks.  What is it that draws your attention here.  JT

I have added a poll to the bottom of the site. This one is an experiment and more to come with Painesville related facts. If I can get reactions on the polls maybe we could have some fun and learn more about the City.

Taste of Painesville

Thursday September 4^th beginning at 5 pm. Live band this year featuring “The Castaways”. There is going to be a good time to be had by all I am certain. I hope to see many people turn out to support the City.
