Abraham Lincoln factoid and quote.

Everyone should know that Abraham Lincoln came through the City of Painesville and spoke with 500 residents at the Depot. Then he returned through the City on a funeral car after his assassination. Go to the first post to see my all time favorite Lincoln quote.

"To argue with a fool in public, the public does not know who the fool is". Abraham Lincoln

I heard this quote years ago and have always tried to remember it. It makes me realize that there is no time for the petty disagreements that make friends into enemies and family into strangers.

What was one of the quotes throughout history that may have influenced your life.

I am going to use the delete very liberally here, please be kind. JT

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.
- MOTHER TERESA
