Well this week I left the comfort of Flavors for Jimmy's. On N. State St. it is central to the area and has breakfast and lunch menu, no dinner. I will say that I was treated well and one of the special's was "Wild mushroom soup". One of the best bowls of soup I have ever eaten, hands down. Don't care if it was homemade or jazzed up bag soup. There were tons of mushrooms, several varieties by the look. The flavor was great and perfect for a cold day. I could have stood my spoon up in this bowl it was so thick. Reminded me of a mushroom stew, very good. I ordered a chicken caesar wrap. Did not disappoint either. Crispy chicken warped in a tortilla with lettuce and dressing that made for a great taste. The cold wrap with the hot soup made for a good food choice on this cold day.

I would like to say to the staff at Jimmy's, thanks for a great lunch and I will surely be back to try some of your other menu selections. I hear the breakfast is to die for and one of the cooks/chef's that works there on the weekends makes "the biggest and best omelets in the world", to quote a friend. I guess she used to work at Ernie's and Cinsangela's, both had great food and I am sure she will not cause for anything going back to the kitchen. Good job guys! JT

I never got to LEC, but mainly because I forget. I really enjoy the smaller places trying to earn a buck, you know what I mean. The college is most likely a good meal, but the local economy is why I go to the smaller places. I will get there, but will spend most of my money in the mom and pops type of places. Thanks for reminding me. JT

Maddog, Thanks for the mention of the cooks name. I am sure that she is proud of what she does and if anyone out there goes to Jimmy's tell Janie that she is doing a great job. JT
