Positive restaurant review, not restuncle...

This weeks review is of Flavors on the square.  Nice little Mom and Pop type of place that has chnged hands a few times but always pleases.  Check out the review in my post.

This week I went to Flavors on the square. I will be honest, I don't go here often and don't usually think of Flavors, what a dummy! They have a good crowd in there, always moving. The who's who in local government along with an eclectic crowd of citizens that know bout this gem. I got the lunch "Hot Bar". For $6.99 I was treated to a seafood lunch, rare for me to get so lucky. They had batter fried fish, seafood pasta, tuna noodle casserole, like mom made with potato chips on top. There was mac and cheese, salad bar, clam chowder and chicken noodle soup. OH, did I forget to mention that they had steamed mussels? Laden in garlic butter and diced red peppers, they were wonderful. First time I have had them and I was apprehensive, but after a dozen and half, I am hooked. The wait staff was quick and on their toes and treated me like the president. I never had an empty plate longer than two minutes and don't think my glass went empty, although I tried. Flavor of the week, Flavors on the square, excellent job, food was terrific and I will be coming back for more. JT

JT. Maybe you should just be a food critic? Better not, if you judge food like you do the city. Jail entrees would probably get a 5 star rating. You really spend alot of time talking about eating... you know?

Good job JT,
Keep up the good work, have you gone to the college to eat at The Storm Cafe ?
It is open to the public at different times, breakfast, lunch and dinner, call for hours.
BF 4.50
L 5.50
D 6.50
Thanks again.

I like food, you talk about what you like, pretty simple really. And friend, I don't judge, I only give my opinion, take it or leave it, it is only that and nothing more. I don't force it on anyone and only hope that someone enjoys what I am saying.

Second poster thanks for the suggestion on the Storm Cafe. I have heard about it but when driving around I forget about it because there are no signs. I will try and hit there next week, deal? Thanks again, JT

Well they are all people like me, no different really. They have opinions, they voice them, and they are proud of their beliefs. Having a check and balance is the foundation of this country, we both serve and equal purpose, but I will break bread and raise a glass with anyone. Now do we keep having to use that derogatory name?? JT

I love Flavors on the Square. I have had lunch there a lot because I work right here in the city. My family and I love to go there on the weekends for breakfast too! Good size servings and great staff!
